Background
Carol qualified as a nurse in 1984 after training at Withington Hospital, South Manchester. She left the hospital environment in 1987 to become a District Nursing Sister and has worked in the community ever since. Her other roles have included cancer and palliative care.
Carol joined Fittleworth in 2005 as a Clinical Nurse Advisor and now has a dual role in Stoma & Continence care. This involves working with healthcare professionals in the community, care agencies, nursing homes and residential homes offering training and advice.
Carol also carries out home visits offering advice, support and practical care to patients and their carers. Carol holds a Diploma in Community Health and keeps up to date with her own professional development by attending relevant conferences and study days to support her clinical role..
